I explore the organization of people in different settings, and portray them in a style meant to capture mood in its natural movement and color.

My research draws from first, second and third hand sources, aiming for a distillation that is thoughtful, succinct and graceful. I want the final product to be based on a thorough knowledge and objective reality but be experienced by the viewer through the lens of experience and mood, so as to create a dialogue that feels imminent, topical and engaging.

My interest in the subjective leads me to a qualitative approach, viewing life and art as a process of translation. I transitioned from a background in comparative literature into visual art because art allowed me to get physically "in the thick of it" and bring ideas into an open and concrete form, where I found literature to be more of a private and cerebral dissection.

In my works I invite others to share in the process of my exploration, to participate and absorb the topic at hand. Through enterprise, hard work and collaboration, I've brought to fruition many ambitious projects.
